Summer in The City: T-shirt and leather skirt

You all know how much I love t-shirts. I don’t need to explain anymore just how versatile I think they are. This particular one from Project Social T has quickly become one of my favorites.

I took some inspiration from Sincerely Jules and tried pairing it with a dressier mini skirt for a daytime look. Hey, I was in New York and needed to look cute and effortless (which is my definition of a good plain t-shirt).

The outfit could easily be made into a nighttime look with a pair of heels and a jacket. The Birkinstocks keep it grounded and casual… and BONUS!—they’re comfy as hell.

How do you like to style the classic t-shirt?

Back To Basics

Quick little outfit post for you all. My close friend is visiting me for a week, which means I have a minion to take photos for my outfit posts.

We just had a chill shopping day so I chose some basics (white top and denim shorts) and layered on the gold accessories as I like to do. My style is so boring lately, but I'm really enjoying the plain normcore/ laid-back style. Literally, I wear a white shirt and denim everyday... Maybe I'll try to switch it up for you guys.

I'm finally a high school graduate. I feel like I've been talking about it forever, but yes. It's finally done and over with.

Now it's time to fully enjoy summer vacation.

Grad Party Hopping: Day One

BCBG Max Azria Top // UO Blazer // F21 Shorts // Madewell Heels // Ray Ban Sunnies // Louis Vuitton Speedy //

As my high school career ends with graduation just a couple days away, the ever famous 'grad party weekend' commences.

Jumping from party to party. Sipping iced tea and nibbling on cheese and crackers. Chit-chatting with parents and extended family of peers. The weekend is full of awkward small talk and sweet dessert tables.

It's important to have a comfortable yet stylish outfit to hop from party to party in. Since I'm not particularly a plain dress kind of girl, I went for a shorts suit combo for a smart look.

The linen shorts kept the outfit summery while the crochet top and blazer added interest to the monochrome outfit. The heels added much needed height for talking to parents, but I also needed to break them in for graduation.

Keep a look out tomorrow for the next 'grad party weekend' post.

Dressing Up A Basic Outfit: feat. Chanel, Steve Madden, and Flashtat

Recently I've been into dressing up a casual outfit (like this plain t-shirt and joggers) with accessories.

I'm in love with these new Steven Madden booties because they add the right amount of "cool" to a basic outfit.

To be even more cool, I slapped on these faux tattoos from Flashtat. I love the metallic/ foil finish, but I bet it'd look 100x better with a tan.

You've probably noticed that amazing bag on my shoulder...Yes, my flawless Chanel classic flap mini came this past week from eBay for my graduation present.

I really couldn't be any happier-- school's ending this week, I have my amazing Chanel bag, and Memorial Day (my favorite holiday) marks the start of the best season: summer.

What's your favorite holiday?

Spring & Summer Essentials: What's In My Bag

I'm celebrating my 100th post by showing you my spring & summer essentials and the things I'm loving at the moment.

  1. Bandeau bikini tops are a must for me during summer because I cannot stand tan lines on my chest. I don't need a lot of support in the chest department, so I can get away with wearing them 24/7 in the summer.
  2. I'm also loving these Aid Through Trade beaded bracelets because they come in tons of colors and sparkle in the light. They're  inexpensive and the money is going to a good cause.
  3. I always need lotion and lip balm so it's a given that they're included in my essentials. I'm really loving this black pepper & ginger scent from Antiguan Aromas and the Fresh Sugar Rosé lip balm.
  4. Of course I need my electronics such as iPhone 5, Polaroid camera, and bluetooth MP3 player to keep me occupied by the pool.
  5.  Aside from electronics, like to do a bit of reading to entertain me. I'm really interested in fashion and style books naturally, but I really enjoy reading fiction as well. I'm currently reading the first Game of Thrones book because I love the TV series so much.
  6. Lastly, I protect myself from the sun with some SPF 75 and my polarized Ray Ban Club Master II.
I tote everything around in this vintage woven market bag. It adds the perfect amount of casualness to any outfit.

What are you spring & summer essentials? Comment below and tell me.

Queen of Versailles

Too bad the fountains weren't on.. I thought Versailles is the palace of luxury! Haha.

Posing with a not-so-picturesque boat collision in the background.

These photos were taken on my last full day in France at the Palace Versailles.  I can't believe it's been a month since the trip. It's so weird remembering that something is over when you have looked forward to it for months.

My experience was like nothing I've ever had and I would do it over in a heart beat. I was put out of my comfort zone by living with a host family for a week and a half, eating strange (but amazing) foods, and speaking a language 24/7 (well almost) I hardly know.

I learned to not be afraid of the unknown and to have trust in the kindness of strangers.
I learned that I can do anything I put my mind to and that is the biggest thing I took away from this trip.

Now I feel ready to take on any challenge life throws me. Because I know if I set my mind to it, I can accomplish anything.

Enough with the sappiness Andrea... I hope you have a great week.

Do you want to go to the plage with me?

Rebonjour my readers. Yes, this post means I am back from my two week trip to France. I can't express how much of an amazing time I had. I would go back tomorrow for another two weeks if I could. This is just one of a few posts I will do about what I did (and more importantly what I wore) while in France.

This was during my stay in Toulouse for the first week with my host family. We went to the Gruissan plage, dipped our feet in the water and took some pictures. After, we went to small town near by where we climbed to the top of a medieval church and saw the amazing view of the town and water.

I decided to keep the look bright with this orange shirt that you saw in my last post. To make it oh-so-French I layered it with a striped scarf. The weather was around 60 degrees most days so I could get away with skirts, but only with a scarf on top.

Keep a look out for the next France post which I will pepper in with my regular outfit posts. I hope you had a great Easter holiday.

Soludos for spring

Ahhh, spring is in the air. Well, there's still snow melting on the ground, but for the time being we have warm weather.

Today was perfect for debuting my new Soludos. I bought them for my upcoming trip to France (which I am so excited about), but I figured I would wear them before to break them in.

I think I'll need a shoe insert for them because they don't have much support for my flat feet. I do like how they are very casual and summery. I opted for the canvas derby model with the laces because I already have toms. They do come in some cute colors and prints, but I decided to leave those for my next pair.

I hope all my East Coasters and enjoying this nice weather. I can't wait for more days like this to come.

All White On The Beach

The first week of the new year I'm currently spending down in South Beach. My grandparents live close by so it's an easy destination for my family. Sadly, the weather hasn't been ideal for Miami, but it is way better than the 23 degree weather at home.

The grey weather does compliment my all-white ensemble perfectly, if I do say so myself. In the first picture my pose is very Chiara Ferragni  isn't it?

I hope your first week of the year is going well. Stay tuned, yet again, for my new year's resolution post. I have come up with my resolution, but I need to think about how I'm going to frame it in a post.

Put-Together-Cozy

Sorry for the radio silence this past week. It's been so cold and rainy that I haven't been inspired to create any note-worthy looks. The awful weather has made me want to stay inside all warm and dry, so I decided to shoot this look in my living room that I find really peaceful and cozy.

This outfit is a simple comfortable one that is perfect for thanksgiving dinner if you need to look presentable in front of your extended family. Dressing up a pair of leggings is my favorite thing to do during the colder months because they are just so damn comfortable, yet I still like to keep it somewhat fashionable with suede boots and a printed tee.

I always have a tradition of reading a book over Thanksgiving break. This year I'm reading Alexa Chung's It. Also, my family and I always go out and see the new Twilight movies together, but now that it's over we are seeing Catching Fire. Do you have any holiday traditions?

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American readers, stay warm.
