Summer Essentials

It's that time of year again. Memorial Day marks the first comings of summer for me and many others. It's one of my favorite holidays, the sun is always out, in my small town there is a parade, and all the pools open. It doesn't matter that the students have school the next day and the adults have work; everyone is care-free.

I put together a collection of my summer essentials and I thought I'd share them with you.

I get really bored sitting trying to tan; so a lot of my essential items are for entertainment whilst lounging by a body of water.

Fashion magazines. I especially love Glamor, Elle, and In Style.
Beach waves are a summer staple, so I use Bumble and Bumble salt spray. Also to refresh my palate after summer BBQ's I  chew gum, it's just something I always have in my bag.
I have a problem with squinting my eyes alot when it's sunny, I really don't want to have crows feet when I'm 30, so I always put on my Ray Bans when I'm outside. It adds a "cool" vibe to an outfit and the Polarized lenses protect the eyes better than cheaper sunglasses.
I burn so badly on my face and chest, so I like to use this Neutrogena oil free baby sunblock stick. It's really gentil on my sensitive skin and doesn't break me out. Also to keep my lips protected from the sun I use Carmex.
I just finished reading Macbeth for school. I loved it and it made me want to keep reading Renaissance novels. I have seen the movie to this novel, but I can't get enough of the Tutor/Boleyn drama.
I love historical fiction, it takes you to a different time period where everything was different.
Of course I can't go anywhere without my iPhone and music.

The albums I'm currently obsessed with MS MR's "Second Hand Rapture,"
Phoenix's "Entertainment!,"and Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories."
